The Problem

In times of change and new technologies, people need to become better at what they do particularly well. Artificial intelligence opens up many new possibilities and opportunities. Human creativity, ingenuity, collaboration and critical thinking will be increasingly in demand in the future. But how can they be trained?

The solution

The problem can only be solved if these skills are trained and practiced. We will develop a program for you to train your employees and digital tools to help you do so.

The background

The ability to solve problems and analyze situations is in my DNA. Physicists are known for this. Interest in survey methods has intensified. The ask44.com ideas platform contains a range of survey tools for social cohesion, problem solving, increasing efficiency and diagnosing transformation issues.

The proof

An OECD study with 120,000 participants shows that critical thinking is often only weakly developed. The learning effect is greater in seminars, lectures and laboratory units than, for example, in learning through fieldwork. (https://www.oecd.org/publications/does-higher-education-teach-students-to-think-critically-cc9fa6aa-en.htm). A meta-study shows that in application-oriented teaching and dialogic learning, the form of teaching is not as important for critical thinking as the content (https://www.clearinghouse.edu.tum.de/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/CHU_KR18_Abrami_Kritisches-Denken_mit-Anhang.pdf).

The observation

Whenever the question of good questions is asked, a positive affirmation comes back. Hal Gregersen from the MIT Leadership Lab has found in his studies with managers that in brainstorming sessions with a focus on questions, in 85% of all cases not only are one or two new solutions found, but the mood also shifts to a positive one. Dan Cable, Professor of Organizational Behaviour at the London Business School, points out the connection between the activation of positive emotions and the open search triggered by questions.
