Helping your teams to innovate

If you want your teams to innovate, you might look at the things that holding them back. Nordgren and Schonthal looked at four things in their book: "The human element"

Inertia — our love of the status quo, even if we know it’s inadequate.

Effort — real or perceived, physical, mental or economic exertion required to get the initiative going

Emotion — unintended negative emotions created by the new

Reactance — people don't want to be changed by others.

These four points might provide a myriad of good questions to identify the real obstacles.
