The power of a half told story

Recently, a free-ranging lion was seen south of Berlin at night. The police was informed. And got a video.

The video, the information spread rapidly.

Where does the animal come from?

Where is it now?

How dangerous is it ?

Is it even true that it is a lion?

The police moved out and tried to find the animal.

The media had hardly received better fodder.

Everyone in town knew immediately that something was different than usual.

That's the power of a story. An arc of tension, a conflict ends the normal calm. The search begins. As long as the story is not completed, it remains in people's minds. It is carried on.
