Recently, I conducted an experiment for a small business owner. He wanted his business to grow and was looking for ways to promote his business.
So we decided to try direct mail. 2000 postcards were prepared and sent to other local businesses.
A few days later, the first call came. It was the director of a kindergarten. The business owner said, "Oh, I received your card, I am looking for a provider".
I thought: Would she call too if it had been an email instead of a postcard?
The mailbox is not as crowded as the email box.
And when you make the small effort to put something real into the world, it can be seen as a sign of appreciation.
Online may have a cost advantage. Offline may bring more reality into play. Offline has become rarer. How do you choose?
