In order to reach new heights two things are needed:

• the acceptance of the current situation
• the use/mastery of a new skill.

Just as Marshall Goldsmith puts it in for personal development, Howard Yu described it for organizations in his book Leap. Organizations, too, can only have a new growth spurt when they master a new technology or a new capability.
